GRADE MEDIATION AND ADJUDICATION
(Academic Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual, G-10)

 

According to Senate Policy 47-20, grades are based on the instructor's judgment of a student's scholastic achievement (see Grades and Grade-Point Average). The instructor's basis for grades must be included on the course syllabus. If there is a disagreement about a grade, the student should try to resolve it with the instructor.

If a disagreement about a grade cannot be resolved with the instructor, the student may follow the Grade Mediation and Adjudication procedure.

Note: Situations involving academic dishonesty are covered in Senate Policy 49-20.
