The Mentor: An Academic Advising Journal Reflections from the General Editor Diane Greenfield, Penn State
When we started The Mentor: An Academic Advising Journal in January 1999, we knew it was a good idea. But we could not have imagined the enthusiastic response it has received. It has been a pleasure to work on this publication to see it fill a real need for information and discussion. Because I am retiring from Penn State, I will be stepping down as general editor. Holly Hart will be taking my place. I am sure you will enjoy working with her. I will still be involved with The Mentor as a member of its editorial board. I look forward to seeing the publication continue to develop reflecting the diversity and creativity of our advising community. Diane Greenfield is retired coordinator of communications from Penn State's Division of Undergraduate Studies and former general editor of The Mentor. She can be reached at a variety of exotic locations throughout the world and, occasionally, at her home in State College, PA.Congratulations to Diane on her retirement and many thanks for all of her assistance in starting and maintaining this journal.
