Dear Academic Advisers:

We are pleased to announce that Widget University will be offering the following first-year seminars for all incoming freshmen. These courses will be taught by respected, tenured professors in their respective disciplines and will be limited to twenty-five seats each. These courses are designed to assist freshmen in adjusting to the university setting, understanding professor expectations, and learning how to grow up! We are particularly proud of the fact that these freshman experience courses meet or exceed the John Doe Foundation guidelines for being "character-building" courses. Please encourage your freshman students to sign up for one of these "character-building" courses today!
