Planning a Schedule for Spring Semester

  1. Schedule an appointment with your adviser.

    • Find your first day to register on your degree audit (see Using a Degree Audit).

    • To guarantee a meeting with your adviser before your first day to register, take time now to schedule an appointment for any available date/time before your registration date.


  2. Prepare for your advising appointment.

    Fill in the boxes below, print this page, and take it with you to discuss with your adviser when you meet with him or her.

    • List all of the majors you're considering.



    • Select one of these majors to use for the rest of this page. (When you meet with your adviser, you'll discuss all of the majors you're considering.)

    • Look at the courses that are recommended for the first two semesters for this major. List any specific courses you haven't taken (MATH 110, CHEM 110, ECON 002, etc.) as well as categories of courses you haven't completed (foreign language, First-Year Seminar, etc.).



    • Look at the degree audit for this major and locate the section labeled ”General Education Requirements.”

      Find the requirements that you haven't taken (look for the minus signs in the left margin). List some General Education courses you'd like to take in those categories:




    • Find the test courses for this major and list any that you haven't taken.
