Commission Reports: Academic Advising News

June 1999

The Technology in Advising Commission has recently launched a Volunteer Network in an effort to coordinate activities among those NACADA members interested in assisting the commission with its ongoing projects. More than 30 members have already agreed to join in this new venture.

The Volunteer Network has its own listserv as well as a web link from the commission's homepage (http://www.psu.edu/dus/ncta). We invite those who may interested in working on such issues as information systems resources, advising technology education, regional and national conference issues/initiatives, and other critical issues to join us. We are always looking for new ideas and approaches. An on-line volunteer registration form is available on our volunteer web site.

Please also remember that the deadline for submissions to our 2nd annual Electronic Publication Award is June 11th. For more information, see the "News" link on our commission web site.
