Welcome to the Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS), Penn State's largest unit of enrollment for first-year students and academic home to thousands of other students exploring programs and meeting requirements before entering majors.

Dedicated advisers in the division will help you learn how to wisely manage your Penn State experience and make educated decisions about majors and opportunities.

Our goals for you include the following:

• Examine the majors that "fit" you well
• Understand the difference between choosing a major and planning a career
• Take advantage of other educational activities, such as study abroad, research, and internships
• Understand Penn State's academic policies, procedures, and deadlines
