Guide A: Relate your interests to majors
- Log in to eLion and click on the Major Themes link in the menu. (If you can't log in to the Students section of eLion, use alternative Guide A.)
- Work through the steps to generate a list of majors that match your interests.
- E-mail the list to yourself and print the e-mail.
- Use the links in the e-mail to read about each major. Think about how your personal characteristics relate to the characteristics of each major.
- On your e-mail printout, cross off the majors that you don't want to explore further because they don't relate to your personal characteristics. Put a check mark next to the majors that interest you the most.
- In the margins of your e-mail printout or on a separate piece of paper, jot down why each major interests you.
