Guide A:  Relate your interests to majors
  1. Log in to eLion and click on the Major Themes link in the menu. (If you can't log in to the Students section of eLion, use alternative Guide A.)

  2. Work through the steps to generate a list of majors that match your interests.

  3. E-mail the list to yourself and print the e-mail.

  4. Use the links in the e-mail to read about each major. Think about how your personal characteristics relate to the characteristics of each major.

  5. On your e-mail printout, cross off the majors that you don't want to explore further because they don't relate to your personal characteristics. Put a check mark next to the majors that interest you the most.

  6. In the margins of your e-mail printout or on a separate piece of paper, jot down why each major interests you.

To find out what you have to do to qualify for these majors, go on to Guide B.
