Charles and Irma Millard founded the Four Diamonds Fund following the passing of their 14-year-old son, Christopher, to pediatric cancer. Four Diamonds' name comes from a story Christopher wrote about four qualities that are necessary in overcoming cancer: Courage, Wisdom, Honesty and Strength.

First held in 1973, THON has partnered with Four Diamonds Fund since 1977 and in that time has raised more than $100 million FTK -- "For The Kids."
