UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association is inviting all Penn Staters to create their legacy on the University Park campus.

Individuals, families, groups, and all alumni and friends may purchase a paver in the Alumni Plaza, which doubles as a pathway to the main entrance of the Hintz Family Alumni Center, adjacent to the roundabout drive court. Orders received by Aug. 1 will be included in the fall 2024 plaza installation.

The Alumni Plaza will further enhance the Alumni Center and reinforce the power of the Penn State network, featuring more than 174,000 Alumni Association members and over 775,000 living alumni.

Pavers can celebrate a milestone such as graduation, remember a cherished time, or show Penn State pride.

Pavers also can honor loved ones, like one three-generation Penn State family did for “Po” and “Pa” Andersen

“When I look back on my journey of life, much can be attributed to Penn State and the values and knowledge I received. As an active alumnus who believes in giving back, the Alumni Plaza is a public message to all to support Penn State,” said David Miles, 1967 Penn State graduate.

Pavers are available in 6x12", 6x6" and 4x8" sizes. Learn more on the Alumni Association's website

Alumni Plaza helps fund critical student programs at Penn State

Proceeds from the Alumni Plaza will be placed in a permanently endowed fund that helps two student groups affiliated with the Penn State Alumni Association — the Blue & White Society and the Lion Ambassadors — as well as other student programs like the FastStart program for underrepresented first-year students. These programs help students get to know the Alumni Association, strengthen their connection to the Penn State alumni network, and learn about community, philanthropy, leadership, teamwork, and Penn State traditions. All contributions to the Alumni Plaza are fully tax-deductible and will be acknowledged with a receipt from Penn State.

For more than 150 years, the Penn State Alumni Association has provided alumni with a strong and welcoming community representative of the Penn Staters it proudly serves. The association keeps alumni connected to the University and to each other, while upholding Penn State traditions and supporting the University’s mission of teaching, research, and service. The association also produces the award-winning Penn Stater magazine and other publications, and offers alumni and friends volunteer opportunities, educational programming, and many other services.
