INTERNAL AWARD WINNERS
At the Penn State Educational Office Professionals (PSEOP) spring reception, held May 8 at the Nittany Lion Inn, meritorious service in the areas of professionalism, initiative and leadership were honored.
Darla Homan was honored as the 2013 Outstanding Office Professional Award (OOPA) winner. Darla, is an administrative support coordinator in the College of Education’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She was recognized for providing exceptional meritorious service on behalf of Penn State in the areas of professionalism, initiative, leadership skills, self-improvement and volunteerism. Homan was presented with a $150 award, a framed certificate, a nameplate on a perpetual plaque and a one-year membership to PSEOP.
Stefanie Tomlinson, alumni and public relations staff assistant in the College of Engineering’s Dean’s Office, received the Lisa Brungart Leadership Award. Named in memory of a former PSEOP member who passed away in December of 2008, the award recognizes a PSEOP member who exhibits exemplary performance, shows outstanding spirit and teamwork and carries out the duties of his or her position with integrity and dedication. Tomlinson received a $100 award, a certificate and a plaque.
Laurinda Benner, manager of administrative services in the College of Engineering’s Department of Chemical Engineering, was awarded the Innovation Award. The award recognizes a PSEOP member whose innovative ideas, creativity or suggestions have resulted in a more time-efficient and/or cost effective method of accomplishing any PSEOP procedure. Benner received a $50 award, a certificate and a plaque.
PSEOP is an organization dedicated to increasing the level of professionalism of Penn State’s office personnel and staff through continuing development. Membership is open to all current and retired Penn State office employees at all locations.

Lisa Brungart Leadership Award
This award is being named in memory of Lisa Brungart, who passed away December 2008. It recognizes and rewards a PSEOP member who exhibits exemplary performance; shows outstanding spirit and teamwork; and carries out the duties of their position with integrity and dedication. Both on and off campus, the awardee favorably represents PSEOP. The candidate should also foster an atmosphere of cooperation and creativity, which contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of their peers. Superior leadership skills, such as skillful motivation, planning and organization are also required, all of which exemplified Lisa Brungart's commitment to PSEOP.

OUTSTANDING OFFICE PROFESSIONAL
AWARD
The Penn State Educational Office Professionals
(PSEOP) is seeking nominations for the 2013
Outstanding Office Professional Award. The
award recognizes office employees who have
provided exceptional meritorious service
on behalf of Penn State. The recipient
will be recognized at PSEOP's annual reception
and will be presented
with a $150 cash award, a gift, a certificate, name on a pertpetual plaque, a one-year
membership in PSEOP, and a member of the Awards Committee for the following year. All current Penn
State office support staff (except officers
and board members of PSEOP) with a minimum
of three years full-time University service, or three years participation as a wage payroll employee,
are eligible. Nominees will be evaluated
on professionalism, initiative, leadership
skills, self-improvement, and volunteerism.

Nominations are due by March 29, 2013. Award winners will be notified prior to the Spring Banquet.
These awards will be given out at the Annual Awards Luncheon.
