At the University Park Campus, you can find several sources of academic information:
1. Your Academic Adviser
You will be advised by an academic adviser in the college
in which you're enrolled. This person may be a professional adviser
or faculty member in your college. He or she can play an important
role in your college career by helping you plan an academic program
and schedule each semester's courses. Use Adviser Informaiton on eLion to find out who your adviser is and how to contact him or her. What if you and your assigned adviser are not compatible? Contact the
program or department head or the director of your advising center and ask for
another adviser.
2. Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS)
DUS, Grange Building, 814-865-7576, provides
academic advising, information, and referral services to anyone who requests
assistance, including students not enrolled in DUS. DUS advisers
answer questions about exploring majors, provide information about academic
policies and procedures, and help students evaluate their educational plans. Quick Question Advising is available Monday-Friday, 8:15-11:30 a.m. and 1:15-4:30 p.m. in Grange Building.
3. Academic Advising Centers and DUS Programs Coordinators
Acadmeic advising centers are located in every college. DUS programs coordinators throughout Penn State provide the University's
only coordinated advising network and offer advising information for students,
