We want you to feel at home right from the beginning, so we have assembled the following information to assist you on arrival day.
Check Orientation Express (Your Guide to Welcome Week Activities) or the Housing Office's Web site at www.welcomeweek.psu.edu to find out when the residence halls open. We want to make sure everything is in order for your arrival. Unfortunately, you cannot be admitted into your room before the published opening time on arrival day. Please do not plan to arrive earlier. If you do, you must arrange for accommodations elsewhere.
If family members want to stay overnight, we suggest calling the Centre County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 800-358-5466 or 814-231-1400 for a list of hotels and motels in the area. It is advisable to call well in advance.
Before you start to unload the car, follow the signs to the commons building to pick up your room key.
If you find a parking place close to your residence hall, please unload quickly and move your car to an open lot so others can unload their belongings as well. Parking areas will be staffed with parking control officers or volunteers. Please follow any directions given to you by these persons. This will assist us in keeping parking lots accessible.
Residence hall food services will open with brunch on arrival day.
