The Schreyer Honors College is Penn State's University-wide honors college for students of exceptional academic talent and potential. It is designed to challenge them, enrich and broaden their general education, and deepen their preparation for graduate study or a profession. Its goal is to provide an educational environment in which students of high ability can achieve their potential.
Entry to the Schreyer Honors College for first-year students is by application and selection. In addition, students with a distinguished academic record and nomination from an academic department may be invited to become a Schreyer Scholar beginning with the junior year.
