Team # 507 -- Student Progress Reports on the Web
ObjectivePenn State Delaware County replaced a labor intensive, time consuming, paper-based, mid-semester progress report system with a Web-based system that eliminated the two week turn around and supplied advisors and students with mid-semester performance indicators the same day faculty completed the reports.
Methodology: Penn State Delaware County developed a web-based system that eliminated the two week turn around.
Innovation: Penn State Delaware County have supplied advisors and students with mid-semester performance indicators the same day faculty completed the reports.
Impact:Reducing time; the old system took anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks of solid staff assistant time to get mid-semester grades out via paper. With the new system, the data is entered by faculty on web and available they next day to students. The next step is to attempt to analyze what impact this is having on improving grades.
