To identify training option for maintenance of particular piece or category of equipment.

Results Achieved to Date

  • Housing and Food Services maintenance mechanics are trained in the repair of the Groen Combi Ovens and Vulcan Convection Ovens
  • There is quicker response to emergency repairs
  • The cost of repairs is over $20 per hour lower than with a contractor (savings projected at $1,600 per year)(projected over the life span of this equipment, savings could reach $11,200)
  • Information and documentation obtained allowed the kitchen staff to use these ovens more effectively in their daily operations
