Objective

To identify data needs of the Libraries and recommend a more effective process for the collection, management and dissemination of statistical data.

Results Achieved to Date

  • June 2000: The report was accepted by the sponsor. Certain manual counts were eliminated as no longer serving a useful purpose. Other new ones were identified to be kept.
  • June 2000: Full implementation is pending the implementation of the new SIRI library automation software that will upgrade the LIAS system. That software, including Oracle, is necessary to implement the data warehouse recommendations.
