Objective

The MOC online store offers a full range of computer products that can now be ordered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for individuals or departments.

Results Achieved to Date

  • Increased customer access, leading to increased sales. System started in November, with two months start-up, and six months for real time use, will not have adequate data until August. Expected sales increase; have seen sales remain level; given economy that may be the most they can expect.
  • Challenge: To offer all of the product and services of the Microcomputer Order Center online.

    Methodology: The MOC online store offers a full range of computer products that can now be ordered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for individuals or departments.

    Innovation: System started in November, with two months start-up, and six months for real time use.

    Impact: Increased customer access, leading to increased sales. Although the team expected sales to increase, in fact sales have remained level. Given the current state of the economy that may be the most they can realistically expect.
