University Outreach (Continuing and Distance Education)

Objective

The "What's In The News" (WITN) team improved communications with their existing national audience of 4th through 7th grade students. Previously, students would watch the WITN current events program in the classroom and mail comments to WITN to be read on the air. The development of the new Website, "Kids Times," allows students to communicate with other WITN viewers and gives them a secure forum to express opinions and talk over projects.
