Objective

Objective: The U.S. Department of Education as well as loan lenders and servicers are developing standardized data definitions along with the use of XML to transmit data between schools and their organizations including Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) for Federal Pell Grant, Common Record: Commonline (CR:C) for the loan certification and disbursement and “XML” Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). This group is responsible for making the change from transmitting and receiving data in traditional flat files using natural to using XML.
