Objective

The Physical Therapy (PT) Department staff noted a number of PT patients who cancelled or did not show for their initial (one-hour) evaluation appointments or came for one visit and didn't return for follow-up due to not having insurance coverage. Late cancellations and/or no-shows impact on the department's ability to offer services to other clients in a timely manner and on department income. The team wants to determine the extent of this impact on its services.
