Team # 719 -- Print Portal Team
Finance and Business

January 2006

Objective

Develop a web based system of managing the acquisition of printing for the university to leverage the total print spend, to reduce the costs, improve service, and provide an archive for future use.

ExpectedResults: Print acquisition costs have come down an average of 15% and since the portal has been implemented the university has saved over $250,000. The vendor pool has been reduced and total cycle times have signifciantly decreased especially in the front end and payment. There have been additional cost savings in soft costs which have still not been quantified.
