Objective

Improve the identification and tracking of adult learners. Specifically, the charge to the team was to improve the ISIS adult indicator activation process for: adults at their point of entry; enrollees who meet adult criteria according to FAFSAs; and enrollees who become adults during enrollment.

Results Achieved to Date

  • ExpectedResults: The team added new data elements to ISIS to identify adult learners, created a new ISIS screen to allow maintenance of these data elements, created procedures to automatically flag adult learners under certain circumstances (e.g. based on age), added the adult learner data elements to several ISIS screens for display purposes, and added the adult learner data elements to the data warehouse. The team's work will have long-lasting positive impact on Penn State's ability to serve our adult learner population.
