Team # 863 -- Streamline Instructional Activity Data and Reporting
Finance and Business
May 2008
Objective
To re-engineer/streamline and simplify the current antiquated process of collecting and reporting information about instructors and all of their related teaching activities. This is a complicated, time consuming process and requires significant manual effort. Removing the complexity and manual interventions should result in more timely, more accurate information.Team Membership

Results Achieved to Date
- ExpectedResults: The new process currently being developed, although still evolving, has already been able to remove some of the manual efforts through programming modifications. This contributes to reducing the overall processing time which is the primary measure of performance. The current process takes between 4-6 weeks. Our goal and hope is to reduce this effort down to 1 week or less.

The CQI effort of Streamlining Instructional Activity Data and Reporting has taken longer than expected. I am happy to report that we are planning to run in parallel this summer with the old system and if our numbers are reconcilable we will plan to switch totally to the new system this fall.
