Over 800 teams at Penn State have worked to improve or innovate their processes, resulting in such outcomes as cost savings, increased stakeholder satisfaction, and shorter turnaround times. This workshop introduces you to the basic concepts and tools of continuous quality improvement (CQI). The workshop covers the IMPROVE model and its role in process improvement and how CQI relates to planning at Penn State. DMADV: An Analytical Approach for Implementing New Strategies, Thursday, February 19, 2009, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, 508 Rider

DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify) can be a useful approach in implementing new initiatives or strategies to accomplish planning goals.
