Cost Saving Idea: Develop staff pools of expertise
Consider developing staff pools of individuals with specific expertise, such as in Web design and maintenance, or financial processes, to serve several different offices within a unit or geographic area. Individuals in the pool will be able to further develop their expertise and share it across the offices. Individuals in the offices will not be asked to handle a ‘rainbow’ of responsibilities where they cannot be experts in all the multiple areas.
Submit your ideas for increased efficiency and effectiveness at Penn State.
