Innovation Extract: Making Meetings Work: Achieving High Quality Group Decisions
John Tropman points out that while people often think of meetings as a ‘sinkhole’ of lost and wasted time, they are actually a key part of the machinery and functioning of an organization. He uses the analogies of an orchestra and a dinner to show how to make meetings more effective, based on his observations of ‘meeting masters’ at for profit, non-profit, and government organizations in the United States and Canada.

On Thursday, October. 25, 2012 four panelists shared information from the Commission for Adult Learners (CAL) 2011 faculty survey and discussed ways to recruit and retain adult learners. The summary and slides are now available.
