Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is one way to look for opportunities to IMPROVE. And while working to IMPROVE, you help to fulfill Penn State's vision, mission and goals.

Penn State's vision is to be one of the nation's finest universities and lead other institutions in the integration of teaching, research and service. Penn State's mission is to improve the lives of the people in Pennsylvania, the nation and the world through integrated, high quality programs in teaching, research, and service. And ALL of us contribute to fulfilling the mission and acheiving the vision at Penn State. Together our goals are to:

  1. Enhance academic excellence through greater support of high-quality teaching, research, and service;
  2. Enhance the educational experience of all Penn State students by becoming a more student-centered University;
  3. Build a more considerate and civil University community;
  4. Serve society through teaching, research, and service;
  5. Develop new sources of income and reduce costs through improved efficiencies.
