1.2 Expand and Promote Opportunities for Students to Engage in Research and Active Learning (Year 1: 2009-2010)
This is a multifaceted strategy involving a variety of active learning opportunities (research, internships, co-ops, capstones, service learning) that may be made available by departments, colleges, campuses, and central units. It is being addressed in several different contexts, including learning support for students, public scholarship, undergraduate research, and faculty development, and through collaboration and partnerships with others at Penn State including colleges, Student Affairs, Global Programs, and Outreach.
