6.4 Protect the Security and Integrity of the IT Infrastructure (Year 1: 2009-2010)
Data are being gathered related to disaster recovery/business continuity, high performance/high density computing, and general provisioning of IT services to supplement the data center master plan. Changes to the intrusion detection system, a new personally identifiable information service, improvements in how border router blocking operates, and the ability to outsource forensic analysis of hard drives are some of the on-going improvements underway to help protect Penn State’s cyberinfrastructure.
