University Strategic Planning Council
The University Strategic Planning Council (USPC) was charged by President Graham B. Spanier in November 2007 to develop the Penn State Strategic Plan for the years 2009/10 through 2013/14. The Council is chaired by Executive Vice President and Provost Rodney A. Erickson.

University Strategic Planning Council Task Forces
As a part of the USPC’s planning process, the Council has identified several key themes that require further study. The Council has charged these task forces to address these themes and make recommendations to the Council. The Council will use the information from the task force reports in conjunction with the strategic plans from colleges, campuses, and support units to formulate the University's overall strategic plan for the years 2009/10 through 2013/14.
