Jody Heckman joined the Provost’s Office in January 2012 as Budget Director and Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President and Provost. She is responsible to the Executive Vice President and Provost for financial and administrative matters and to the University Budget Officer for staff support on various aspects of developing, implementing and monitoring the University’s annual operating budget. She directs budgetary matters and special projects for the Office of the President and Executive Vice President and Provost and ensures that university-level strategic goals and objectives are met.
Jody previously served as Lead Budget Planning Specialist for the University Budget Office. In this position, she projected and monitored income from tuition and fees for use in budget and scenario planning, and she co-chaired the university-wide general salary increases and budget implementation team. Jody also served as an Administrative Fellow in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Business/Treasurer in 2008-09. She served on several other teams and committees during her 21 years at Penn State, including the iTwo Financial Information Dashboard Committee, the Summer Sessions Budget Model Committee, and the World Campus Integration Management Team.
Jody completed her B.S. in Finance and her M.S. in Workforce Education and Development at Penn State.
