Using Your Award
Consider your award amount and when it will run out (e.g., a $1,500 per semester undergraduate award, 20 hours per week, lasts approximately 8.5 weeks; a $1,800 per semester graduate award, 20 hours per week, lasts approximately 8 weeks).
Your supervisor is responsible for recording the number of hours you have worked. However, you should also keep track of the number of hours you have worked and the amount of your award that is remaining.
If you have more than one work-study job, you must keep each employer informed of total hours worked so that you do not exceed your award amount. You will receive a "critical status" letter when your remaining funds reach a particular level: $250 for undergraduate students and $300 for graduate students.
