Office of Student Aid : Applying for Student Aid 2007-08 : Disbursement of Aid
Disbursement of Aid
After you complete the registration process and semester classes begin, your student financial aid will disburse into your Bursar account and be credited towards your tuition bill.
An e-mail message will be sent (via your Penn State e-mail account) or a letter mailed to your home address notifying you that your student aid has disbursed into your Bursar account.
If you are eligible for a refund, it will be available at the beginning of the semester, provided that you have completed all necessary steps as outlined previously. An e-mail message will be sent (via your Penn State student access account) when your refund is processed.
You can request to have your refund deposited electronically into a bank account in one of two ways:
- To sign-up for Rapid Refund, select Refund Information from the Students menu on eLion and add your bank account information.
- Complete an ACH Authorization Agreement through the Office of the Bursar (only for parents and new students without eLion access).
