Office of Student Aid : Applying for Student Aid 2007-08 : 3-Step Application Process : Complete the FAFSA
Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
The U.S. Department of Education Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) serves as the single application for all types of student financial aid at Penn State--federal, state, and Penn State programs. To apply for student financial aid at Penn State, you must meet certain eligibility requirements.
If necessary, use estimated tax information to complete the FAFSA on the Web by the recommended aid application completion dates.
Before You Begin
We encourage you to review our Tips for Completing the 2007-08 FAFSA and the following links on the FAFSA Web site:

Penn State's federal school code is 003329--applies to most Penn State campuses, including Hershey nursing and Great Valley Graduate Center students.
Professional and technical students, check for your federal school code.
Before You Submit your FAFSA
Please verify that you have entered correct Social Security numbers for you and your parents (if applicable). Submitting incorrect Social Security numbers will prevent your FAFSA information from being sent to Penn State and delay processing of your student financial aid application.
