Next Steps to Summer Aid for Graduate Students
Complete the following steps in order and by the method described to ensure error-free processing of summer 2008 student financial aid.
Steps 1 - 3 Steps 4 - 5 Steps 6 - 7
Step 6:
Consider a Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan or private alternative loan, if needed.
If you have remaining financial need after pursuing other student financial aid options, you may need to consider:
- Reviewing Direct Graduate PLUS Loan information.
- Reviewing private alternative loan information.
- The maximum Direct Graduate PLUS and/or alternative loan you can borrow is your cost of attendance less all other student aid listed on your Student Aid Summary on eLion for summer session(s).
- The loan term dates for a summer Graduate PLUS and/or alternative loan are May 2008–August 2008.
Step 7:
Confirm your registration on your summer session(s) bill.
In mid-to-late April, you will receive a 2008 summer session eBill via eLion. You have approximately three weeks to pay the eBill.
Your summer eBill will identify all University charges (tuition, fees, and room and meals, if applicable).
Your registration is not complete until you confirm your registration in one of two ways:
- Access Bills Tuition/Other from the Students menu on eLion, pay your tuition and fees and other University charges, and/or confirm your registration. You may also grant a parent or other designated person access to your student financial information via eLion. Select Parent/Other from the eLion menu for more information.
- Contact the Office of the Bursar.
Incomplete registration can result in a loss of student financial aid, and you will not receive credit for your scheduled classes.
