Estimating Your Student Financial Aid Package
***The Early Aid Estimate is available between
November 3, 2009, and February 28, 2010.***
To plan for the costs associated with a college education, you need information about your 2010-11 student financial aid package at Penn State. Using the online Early Aid Estimate from the Prospective Students menu on Penn State's eLion system, you can obtain an estimate of your student aid. Please note: To use the Early Aid Estimate, you must have an offer of admission from Penn State.
Steps to Access the Early Aid Estimate
Step 1: Go to eLion
Step 2: Select Prospective Students
Step 3: Be prepared to enter the following information:
- Your PSU ID
- Individual student information (e.g., marital status, veteran status, etc.)
- Estimated 20e09 federal income tax information for you and/or your parents/spouse
- Type of federal income tax return you and/or your parents/spouse will complete
- Family size and number of family members (excluding parents) attending college .
Step 4: Submit your information and receive your aid estimate.
