Office of Student Aid : Students Must Know : Retroactive Registration
Retroactive Registration
Students that are requesting retroactive registration must be capable of paying the full tuition and fees amount without utilizing financial aid as payment for completing their registration. Any type of financial aid processed by the Office of Student Aid and paid directly to Penn State, including grants, scholarships, and student loans, cannot be used as payment toward a retroactive registration.
Once the retroactive registration process has been completed and grades have been posted, students can contact the Office of Student Aid to determine whether or not their aid is still within the allowable late disbursement period. Because the eligibility guidelines for post enrollment disbursement of student aid are based on federal and state regulations, staff cannot override these requirements.
Please review the Office of the University Registrar´s Retroactive Registration Web site for more information about the retroactive registration process or to request a Retroactive Registration Form. Undergraduate students desiring to process a retroactive registration must contact the Office of University Registrar. Graduate students desiring to process a retroactive registration must contact the Graduate School.
