Welcome
Within these pages, we will inform you about pressing issues and provide you with general information and updates related to financial aid.

Student Aid Scam Alert--Proceed With Caution
A financial aid scam is making its way to Penn State parents and students. An organization has mailed solicitations to students or their parents asking them to provide social security numbers and personal information on a "Student Aid Profile Form." The company also indicates students should return a fee with the form in order to be considered for additional aid.

Summer Aid Awards
If your student is considering attending Penn State this summer, you may have questions about aid eligibility to help cover costs. Summer student financial aid is handled separately from fall and spring awards, so read on if your student is thinking about enrolling in summer sessions to add a few credits to his or her transcript.

First-Year Game Plan
If your first-year student just received the Student Financial Aid Award Notification, you may be wondering, "Where do we go from here?" The Awarding Guide, included with the award notice, will help you focus on important first-year financial aid action items.

Comparing Educational Loans
No question about it. Learning about educational loans takes some time and effort. The various types of educational loans--federal and private, subsidized and unsubsidized, and student and parent--can make it a challenge to sort through the available funding options.
