In support of our strong commitment to individual excellence, Penn State continues to build its resources and endowment to offer scholarship opportunities for students who excel. While we value all students who bring to Penn State a passion for excellence, the competition for Penn State scholarships is strong. Approximately 22% (16,633) of undergraduate students (75,404) receive a Penn State scholarship. Many students enter Penn State with private scholarships from their high schools, community organizations, or other private philanthropies.
