Office of Student Aid : Summer 2008 Refunds
Summer 2008 Student Aid Refunds
If there are excess financial aid funds after the University charges for Summer Sessions have been paid in full, a refund will be generated after July 1 that can be used to pay for costs associated with your education.
Disbursement of summer 2008 alternative loan funds is taking longer than originally anticipated. If you are due a refund for summer 2008 based on the disbursement of your alternative loan, you may be eligible for a short-term emergency loan to assist you with education-related expenses until your alternative loan funds disburses to your University Account. To request a short-term emergency loan, please contact us and indicate the amount of money you may need to cover your immediate expenses. Keep in mind that you are not eligible for a short-term emergency loan unless you are due a refund. When your alternative loan disburses into your University Account, the short-term loan will be subtracted from the amount of your refund.
Additional information regarding Penn State's Refund Policy is available on the Office of the Bursar's Web site.
