Frequently Asked Housing Questions
* Can I room with another STEP student I know?
* Can I keep a bicycle in my room?
* What if I have any other questions about Housing, Food Services, or Residence Life?
Students may find their own housing or have the option to live in the residence halls and purchase a meal plan. If you are interested in living in university housing during the STEP program, please visit the Housing and Food Services Web site at http://www.hfs.psu.edu/UniversityPark/ or e-mail assignmentoffice@psu.edu or call the Assignment Office for Campus Residences at (814) 865-7501.
Can I room with another STEP student I know?
You may indicate roommate selections on your contract by entering their name and PSU ID. Your roommate should also request you as roommate requests must be mutual for the students to be assigned together. If you did not select a roommate at the time of the contract submission, you may add one prior to May 15 by logging back into www.eliving.psu.edu, clicking on the summer contract link and modifying your roommate choice. Please be sure to "save" your modification.
Can I keep a bicycle in my room?
Students may store their bicycles in their rooms with the permission of their roommate(s). Arrangements for bicycle locker boxes may be made through Housing management and are rented on a per-semester basis.
