Been at Penn State a semester or more? Here are some reasons why Summer Session will be ideal for you:

* Get ahead in your program

* Catch up on missed requirements or incomplete credits

* Linger over an idea and enjoy individual attention in smaller classes

* Focus on a challenging class

* Boost your GPA

* Tackle prerequisites for fall semester classes

* Take classes that fill up fast during fall and spring semesters

* Get “back on track,” “stay on track” to graduate on time or graduate early"

* Take summer classes and save time to do your internship in the fall or spring when there is less competition for internships

  Each fall, we ask you to let us know what courses you need or want. We inform the colleges and departments that might offer them. We schedule an array of courses that is varied enough to fill your needs as you study and enjoy summer at University Park.

We are especially happy to welcome students who have spent their first two years at a Penn State campus other than University Park. Summer is the perfect time to get accustomed to the larger campus and surrounding community and settle into life here.
