 Michael
DiBerardinis is Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation
and Natural Resources. In his position as Secretary, he is an ex
officio member of Penn State's Board of Trustees.
A graduate of Saint Joseph's University with a bachelor of arts in political science, Mr. DiBerardinis is actively involved in his community and serves on the following boards: Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition, Research for Action, Peoples Emergency Center, and the Office of Community Development, Archdiocese of Philadelphia. His honors include the CORA Services Organizational Award in 1999 and the Ed Rendell "Doer" Award in 2000. Mr. DiBerardinis was appointed Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in January 2003 by Governor Ed Rendell and was confirmed by the Senate in March 2003.
