Peter A. Khoury

Peter A. Khoury was appointed by Governor Corbett as a member of the Board of Trustees. Senate confirmation was received on October 17, 2011. Formerly from the Lehigh Valley Campus, he is the Immediate Past President of the Council of Commonwealth Student Governments, the representative student government for the 19 Penn State Commonwealth Campuses, and is a former two-time Student Co-Chair of the Student Caucus for the University Faculty Senate. During his junior and senior years he conducted undergraduate research under Dr. Roger Egolf, studying the integration of engineering training for chemistry undergraduates.
From Allentown, Pennsylvania, Peter graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Health Policy and Administration. A member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Lion’s Paw, and Parmi Nous honor societies, he was awarded the University's prestigious Oswald Award for Social Services and the Biology Department’s Service Excellence Award in 2012. During the 2011-2012 academic year, Peter served a one year term on the Penn State Alumni Association’s Alumni Council as a student representative.
Peter is active in a variety of clubs and organizations and is a former volunteer trainer at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in the emergency department. Prior to being involved in CCSG, Peter served as Vice President and Executive Advisor of the Penn State Lehigh Valley Student Government Association.
Currently, Peter serves as a student representative on the National Campus Leadership Council and is pursuing a Master’s in Health Administration while planning to attend Law School after graduation.
