Linda
Strumpf is Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of The Ford
Foundation in New York, a non-profit philanthropic organization
providing resources for innovative
people and institutions worldwide. The Foundation's goals are set to
strengthen democratic values, reduce poverty and injustice, promote international cooperation,
and advance human achievement.
A native of New Jersey, Mrs. Strumpf is a 1969 graduate of Penn State with a B.A. in Economics and a 1972 graduate of New York University Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. in Finance. She is actively involved in organizations and boards, serving as a member of Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts Development Council, the Penn State Investment Council, New York City Professional Women Alumni Interest Group, New York Society of Security Analysts, and the Association for Investment Management and Research. Her honors include Alumni Fellow in the College of the Liberal Arts in 1997 and the Distinguished Alumna Award in 1999, both from Penn State. She was appointed in
September 2003 to fill
an unexpired term as a trustee representing business and industry
