Dennis
C. Wolff is Secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of
Agriculture. (Prior to his
appointment, he served as a trustee of Penn State from July 2001 to January
2003, elected by delegates from agricultural societies.)
Mr. Wolff is also the owner of Pen-Col Farms, in Millville, Pennsylvania, a 700 acre, 500 head dairy farm specializing in purebred Holstein genetics. His expertise in the area is recognized internationally. He served as Judge in 1998 at The Space Show in Aprenee, France, as well as a speaker at the 1996 Canadian National Holstein Convention in Montreal, and the 1995 British Cattle Breeders Conference in Cambridge, England. He also represented NAAB promoting U.S. genetics in Australia/New Zealand in 1990. His honors also include Leadership Central Penn in 1997; Certificate of Commendation, Community Leader in 1994; and Master Farmer in 1994. Presently, Mr. Wolff is a member of several committees and boards including the Agriculture Technical Committee--World Trade Organization; the State Committee--USDA/Farm Service Agency; Millville Mutual Insurance Co.; Agway Inc.; and Agway Insurance. He previously held positions with the Pennsylvania Animal Health and Diagnostic Commission, Northern Central Bank, and the Millville Methodist Church Board of Trustees. Mr. Wolff is President of the Nicholas Wolff Foundation, Inc. Camp Victory, a non-profit summer camp for handicapped and chronically ill children.
