A person who does not meet the normal criteria (entrance requirements or admission standards) for admission as a degree candidate may be accepted as a provisional student and enroll in credit courses, if space is available, to pursue a program leading to either a baccalaureate degree or an associate degree if the requirements specified in 10-00 are met. A provisional student must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. A provisional student may become a degree candidate under conditions specified in Section 12-00. A provisional student may become a nondegree student under conditions specified in Section 16-00.
