A provisional student must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.A provisional student may apply to enroll in credit courses, if space is available, to pursue a program leading to either a baccalaureate degree or an associate degree if, when an application for admission is made, the applicant does not meet the normal criteria (entrance requirements, admission standards, advanced standing requirements) required for admission as a degree candidate. To enroll in credit courses, such an individual must meet the requirements specified in Section 10-00. A provisional student may become a degree candidate under conditions specified in Section 12-00. A provisional student may become a nondegree student under conditions specified in Section 16-00.
