04-04-2000
University Park, Pa. -- Penn State’s Commission for Adult Learners established an Incentive Grants Program this year to foster creativeness and enhance programs and services for adult learners at all University locations.

Thirteen submissions were received from 10 Penn State locations and were evaluated on the basis of their potential to launch projects that will further adult learner recruitment and retention. Grants of up to $250 were available, with the requirement that each campus provide matching funds.

Incentive Grants projects will be showcased as part of the May 18 Best Practices Conference at the HUB/Robeson Center at University Park. Faculty, staff, and adult learners from across the University are invited to participate in the conference, and may obtain registration information at http://www.sa.psu.edu/cals/commission/.
