Expert On International Relations Next Forum Speaker

University Park, PA — Erik R. Peterson, senior vice pesident and director of studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), will give a talk on "Reflections on the Impact of Technology on U.S. International Engagement" at the Penn State Forum at noon on Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Penn Stater.

At CSIS, Peterson oversees the development and implementation of the Center's research agenda of over 100 ongoing projects and the publications program. He also holds the CSIS William A. Schreyer Chair in Global Analysis, an endowment named in honor CSIS Executive Committee Member - and Penn State alumnus and Trustee Emeritus - Bill Schreyer.

Peterson received an MBA degree in international finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and a master's degree in international law and economics from John Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies. He has taught on emerging markets at American University, is a fellow of the World Economic Forum and a board member of the Center for Global Business Studies at Penn State.

The Penn State Faculty Staff Club Forum is a lunchtime speaker series partially sponsored by the Penn State Bookstore and is open to the public. Tickets are $11 and include lunch. Reservations can be made by mail or by stopping by the Faculty Staff Club office at 103 HUB-Robeson Center. Tickets will be on sale at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. The next Penn State Forum speaker Daniel S. Golden, an administrator at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), who will speak on "Advanced Technologies and the Future of the Space Program" on Friday, Nov. 3, at the HUB-Robeson Center's Alumni Hall.
