Engineering Camp Set For Women High School Students

University Park, Pa. --- High school junior and senior women students are invited to apply to "Vec-Tour" or Venture in Engineering, at Penn State's University Park campus this summer. The new program is aimed at providing hands-on engineering experience to high school women students.
The theme will focus on materials and environment engineering with sessions planned in material science (making an LED flashlight); acoustic engineering, environmental systems, and bioengineering. The residential camp will begin on Sunday, July 21 and conclude on Saturday, July 28. The students will be housed in Penn State residence halls on the University Park campus.
